Job summary

The Alfriston Hotel in East Sussex is seeking a highly professional Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team for the exciting opening of our property in the Signet Collection. The role offers an excellent starting salary or hourly rate, plus a generous annual tronc, enhancing monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
• Ensure that mise en place is freshly prepared and on time.
• Prepare dishes to the correct recipe and quantity.
• Present dishes to the prescribed serving dish and garnish correctly.
• Keep the section clean and tidy at all times.
• Train and guide junior cooks and trainees.
• Communicate shortages promptly to Sous/Head Chef.
• Ensure staff under control are treated fairly and with courtesy.
• Deputise in the Sous Chef's absence and take charge when directed.
• Attend training courses and seminars as required.
• Study management subjects for future advancement.
• Adhere to Hygiene, Health and Safety rules and record correctly.
