Job summary

Cambridge House in Mayfair, part of Auberge Collection, seeks a Duty Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming environment for guests, visitors and staff.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV, control access, respond to incidents, and collaborate with Front of House and operations. A valid Door Supervisor licence and experience in luxury hospitality are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel, private club, or high-end hospitality security role.
• A valid Door Supervisor licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of hotel security operations including CCTV and access control systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Professional personal presentation and a discreet, guest-focused approach.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Proactive mindset with strong observational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Security team to protect the building, guests and team members.
• Provide a reassuring presence across all areas of the House.
• Carry out regular patrols of guest areas, back-of-house corridors and historic spaces.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV, access points and security systems; address irregularities.
• Support protection of guests, events and high-profile arrivals.
• Assist with access control and key management procedures.
• Support fire life safety checks and emergency preparedness procedures.
• Report incidents clearly with timely, structured details.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure security fits daily operations.
• Maintain awareness of activity while respecting guest privacy.
• Assist in securing deliveries, contractors and external visitors.
• Uphold health and safety procedures and company standards.
