Job summary

Cambridge House, Auberge Collection in London is seeking a Duty Security Officer to protect guests, colleagues and property with calm, professional presence across the house. You will patrol, monitor security systems and support events with discretion.

The role requires experience in luxury hospitality security, a valid Door Supervisor licence, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. You will collaborate with Front of House and operations to ensure a safe guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Security team, protecting the building, guests and team members while maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide a reassuring presence across all areas of the House, ensuring guests and team members feel safe and at ease.
• Carry out regular patrols of guest areas, back of house corridors and historic spaces, staying attentive to detail.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances or emergencies, remaining composed.
• Monitor CCTV, access points and security systems, addressing irregularities with care.
• Support protection of guests, private events and high-profile arrivals, maintaining discretion.
• Assist with access control and key management procedures.
• Support fire life safety checks and routine safety inspections.
• Report incidents clearly and timely with structured detail.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures with daily operations.
• Maintain awareness of activity around the House and stay vigilant while respecting guest privacy.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment for deliveries, contractors and external visitors.
• Uphold health and safety procedures and company standards.

As a Duty Security Officer, you will play an essential role in the day-to-day life of Cambridge House by creating an environment where guests, visitors and team members feel safe, cared for and entirely at ease. With calm, confidence and sound judgement, you will move seamlessly through the House, offering reassurance and vigilance that is discreet, respectful, and aligned with our values. Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Security team at Cambridge House, supporting the protection of the building, its guests and team members while contributing to a calm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the property.
• Provide a reassuring presence across all areas of the House, ensuring guests and team members feel both safe and genuinely at ease in their surroundings.
• Carry out regular patrols of guest areas, back of house corridors and the historic spaces of Cambridge House, remaining attentive to detail and sensitive to the character of the building.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances or emergencies, remaining composed and measured at all times.
• Monitor CCTV, access points and security systems, ensuring any irregularities are identified and addressed with care and accuracy.
• Support the protection of all guests, private events and high-profile arrivals, maintaining discretion and a naturally unobtrusive approach.
• Assist with access control and key management procedures, ensuring systems are followed consistently and securely.
• Support fire life safety checks, routine safety inspections and emergency preparedness procedures across the property.
• Report incidents clearly and accurately, ensuring all relevant details are recorded in a timely and structured manner.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure security measures sit comfortably within the flow of daily hotel operations.
• Maintain awareness of all activity around the House, remaining alert to anything unusual while respecting the privacy and experience of guests.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment for deliveries, contractors and external visitors entering the property.
• Uphold all health and safety procedures and company standards, contributing to a consistently safe and well-managed environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security Officer or similar role within a luxury hotel, private members’ club, or high-end hospitality environment.
• A valid Door Supervisor licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of hotel security operations, including CCTV and access control systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Professional personal presentation and a discreet, guest-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• A proactive mindset with strong observational skills and attention to detail.
