Job summary

Cambridge House in Mayfair, London, part of Auberge Collection, seeks a Duty Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will work with Front of House and operations to maintain discretion and professionalism.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV and access control, respond calmly to incidents, and support safety checks and security measures across the historic property. Experience in luxury hospitality preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Security Officer in luxury hospitality or private club.
• A valid Door Supervisor licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of hotel security operations, CCTV, and access control.
• Excellent communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Professional personal presentation and discretion.
• Flexibility to work shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proactive, observant and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Security team to protect the building, guests and team members.
• Provide a reassuring presence across all areas of the House.
• Carry out regular patrols and maintain attention to detail within historic spaces.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies with composure.
• Monitor CCTV, access points and security systems for irregularities.
• Support protection of guests, events and high-profile arrivals.
• Assist with access control and key management procedures.
• Support fire life safety checks and safety inspections.
• Report incidents clearly with timely, structured details.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate security within hotel operations.
• Maintain awareness of activity around the House while respecting guest privacy.
• Assist in securing deliveries, contractors and external visitors.
• Uphold health and safety procedures and company standards.
