Stafffinders' Client in South Ayrshire is seeking a Banqueting Operations Manager to lead the delivery of weddings, conferences and events at a prestigious 5-star resort on the Ayrshire coast. You'll be a confident hospitality leader, responsible for day-to-day event delivery, line managing the banqueting team, coordinating clients and suppliers, and ensuring flawless guest experiences.

The role offers £38,000–£40,000 per year plus benefits including subsidised staff accommodation, on-shift

• Previous experience in banqueting, events, or hospitality management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on, organised, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of weddings, conferences and events.
• Lead and support the banqueting team throughout each event.
• Liaise with clients, planners, suppliers, and hotel departments.
• Attend planning meetings and client briefings.
• Coordinate room setup, service, and event breakdown.
• Act as main contact for clients and VIP guests during events.
• Deliver announcements and host events when required.
• Manage in-house AV equipment.
• Maintain function rooms, equipment and storage to a high standard.
• Handle last-minute requests and resolve issues professionally.
• Ensure exceptional customer service at every stage.
