Job summary

Evermore Care Limited seeks a compassionate Day Care Assistant for Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster. You will provide person-centred care, assist residents with daily activities and support meaningful engagement in a luxury environment.

The role offers a two-week rolling rota, 38.5 hours per week, and a range of benefits. Right to work in the UK is required for 18+ months from start date.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within dementia care, residential care or a similar care setting.
• A compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• A strong understanding of dignity, respect and confidentiality.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality personal care with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Supporting residents with daily living activities including washing, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Encouraging independence and promoting choice wherever possible.
• Building positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Supporting activities, social engagement and meaningful interactions.
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding care.
• Maintaining accurate records and respecting confidentiality at all times.
• Helping create a warm, welcoming and supportive environment throughout the home.
