Job summary

Evermore Care operates Ashton Manor Care Home in Lancaster, seeking dedicated Night Care Assistants to provide compassionate, person-centred care through the night. The role supports residents’ comfort, safety and dignity in a luxury home environment.

The position offers a two-week rotating rota, 38.5 hours per week, and night shifts from 8:00pm to 8:00am. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK and no visa sponsorship is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in dementia or residential care.

Important Information

To ensure consistency in our care delivery, applicants must already have the Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 18 months from their agreed start date.

Working Pattern

38.5 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Night Shifts: 8:00pm - 8:00am

This structured rota offers consistency and allows you to plan your time while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The Opportunity

Nights are about much more than observation and routine checks.

As a Night Care Assistant, you'll provide reassurance, support and compassionate care that enables residents to feel safe, comfortable and respected throughout the night.

You'll be there to assist with personal care needs, respond to individual requirements, support residents experiencing confusion or anxiety, and ensure every person receives the highest standard of care and dignity while they sleep.

Your presence can make all the difference.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering high-quality person-centred care throughout the night
• Supporting residents with personal care needs while promoting dignity and independence
• Carrying out regular wellbeing and safety checks
• Providing comfort, reassurance and emotional support when needed
• Responding appropriately to residents' individual care needs during the night
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
• Supporting a calm, safe and welcoming environment throughout the home
• Building positive relationships with residents and their families
