Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our luxury country-house hotel team. You will prepare and present breakfast dishes to the highest standards while ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across service.

The role supports the team in delivering unforgettable guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a culinary qualification, 2+ years in a high-end setting, and a passion for excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts; NVQ Level 2/3 preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as Breakfast Chef or similar in luxury hospitality.
• Strong customer service in a 5-star setting.
• Proficient in modern and classical cooking techniques.
• Ability to prepare a wide range of breakfast dishes.
• Positive, team-focused attitude under fast-paced service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes to standard.
• Ensure breakfast offerings are fully stocked and presented well.
• Work with team to deliver excellent guest experience.
• Assist with food cost controls and waste reduction.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
