Job summary

Wyvern Academy, part of the Southern Education Trust, is recruiting a Lunchtime / Midday Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during one of the busiest parts of the day. You’ll help pupils during lunch in the dining hall, supervise safety, wellbeing and dignity, and encourage healthy eating and good manners.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to create a safe lunchtime environment.
• Supervise pupils in the dining hall, ensuring safety, wellbeing and dignity at all times.
• Encourage good hygiene, polite table manners and healthy eating habits.
• Support pupils with individual needs to ensure lunchtime is positive for everyone.
• Set up and clear the dining area, keep the hall clean, tidy and welcoming.
• Assist with tidying equipment, including trays, beakers and cutlery.
• Maintain calm and organisation during busy or challenging moments.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet each pupil’s needs with care and creativity.
• Bring energy, positivity and joy to lunchtime to support pupils.
