Job summary

Wyvern Academy, part of the Southern Education Trust, is hiring a midday supervisor to support pupils during lunch and help create a safe, caring environment. You will supervise in the dining hall, promote good hygiene and respectful behaviour, and work with staff to meet each pupil's needs with patience and creativity.

We value kindness, reliability and a calm approach, especially during busy lunchtimes. The role is part-time, 12.5 hours weekly, with a pro-rata salary and term-time working.

Qualifications

• Experience is welcome, but attitude, values and willingness to learn are what matter most.
• Ability to work with children and young people in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall and ensure safety, wellbeing and dignity at all times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to create a safe lunchtime environment.
• Encourage good hygiene, manners and healthy eating habits.
• Support pupils with individual needs to ensure a positive lunchtime experience.
• Set up and clear the dining area and keep the hall tidy and welcoming.
• Maintain calm and organised operations during busy periods.
• Work with colleagues to meet each pupil's needs with care and creativity.
