Job summary

Selwood Academy in Frome (UK) is seeking two enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants. The role runs Monday–Friday, term time only, with a daily commitment of 1 hour 10 minutes. The position is graded at SCP 3-4 with pay of £13.28–£13.48 per hour.

Key duties include setting up/clearing the dining area, direct supervision of pupils during lunch, maintaining order, and handling minor incidents with basic First Aid as required. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a school would be helpful but full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• To assist in setting up and clearing away the dining area daily, assembling tables, putting out chairs and sweeping floors.
• Direct supervision of pupils during the lunch break
• To ensure pupils are well behaved in the school, in adverse weather conditions
• Where pupil conflicts arise deal with in the appropriate manner, being aware of bullying behaviour
• Understand the appropriate laid down course of action in cases of personal injury to pupils
• First Aid as required
• To attend a termly meeting with the line manager
• To be willing to work extra time for events such as the Christmas meal
