Job summary

Harlescott Junior School is seeking a caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team. You will help ensure pupils have a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience in the dining hall, playground and other school spaces.

The post is 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time, permanent, with DBS clearance required. You will support children, model good behaviour and assist with minor first aid when needed.

Salary is Grade 3, SCP 3 (£12.85), with an actual annual salary of £4,341.62.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children is desirable.
• Ability to supervise groups and maintain safety.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining hall and playground during lunch breaks.
• Encourage good manners and safe play.
• Provide basic first aid support where needed.
• Report concerns to staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and other school areas during lunch breaks
• Encouraging positive behaviour and good manners
• Supporting children in safe and inclusive play
• Assisting with minor first aid incidents where required
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
• Reporting any concerns or incidents to school staff

• Has good communication and teamwork skills
• Can remain calm and professional in busy situations
• Is reliable and punctual
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare
