Job summary

Poplar Farm School is seeking three Midday Supervisors to support pupils during lunch breaks and playtimes. The role involves encouraging sensible meals, promoting good manners, and supervising outdoor play to prevent incidents.

You will lead safe play, assist with basic first aid, and keep incident records. A caring, inclusive approach and reliability are essential for this role at Poplar Farm School.

Qualifications

• Supportive induction process to help you develop within this role
• Comfortable with administering basic first aid and recording incidents
• Ability to encourage good manners and co-operative behaviour
• Willingness to lead children outdoors and supervise during play

Responsibilities

• Encourage children to eat sensibly during midday break
• Praise good manners and encourage polite, cooperative behaviour
• Lead children outside and move about the playground to intervene before problems arise
• Encourage games and play in the playground
• Administer basic first aid or assist with changing children after accidents and keep accurate records
• Report incidents to the class teacher as needed

We are looking to appoint three Midday Supervisors

We are looking for people who can:

• Encourage the children to eat sensibly.
• Praise good manners and encourage polite and co-operative behaviour.
• Lead children outside and move about the playground to intervene before problems arise.
• Encourage games and play in the playground.
• Administer first aid or change children who have had an accident and keep accurate records of incidents.
• Report any incidents involving accidents, damage to property or significant misbehaviour to the class teacher.
