Job summary

Peterhouse School, Southport is seeking a caring Lunch Time Supervisor to support pupils with special educational needs during lunchtime, both in the classroom and outdoor areas, promoting positive behaviour, social interaction and independence. This part-time role is 7.5 hours per week, term time only (45.2 weeks per year) and pays £12.51 per hour.

Training will be provided, and you join a friendly, supportive team with wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

• Support pupils during lunch time in the classroom and outdoor areas, encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction and independence.
• Assist pupils with transitioning between activities, providing reassurance and support to pupils with a range of additional needs; ensure safety, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

We are seeking a caring, patient and reliable Lunch Time Supervisor to join our friendly team at Peterhouse school, supporting pupils with special educational needs during the lunchtime period.

The Role:

As a Lunch Time Supervisor, you will Support pupils during lunch time in the classroom and spending time in outdoor areas, encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction and independence. You will also assist pupils with transitioning between activities, providing reassurance and support to pupils with a range of additional needs; and ensuring the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all pupils at all times

We are looking for an individual who works well as part of a team with good communication skills. Experience working with children or in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
