Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join Nottingham schools on a term-time-only basis. You will supervise pupils in the dining hall and on the playground at lunch, helping maintain a safe, calm and enjoyable environment.

In this role you’ll support younger pupils with their lunch, monitor allergies, follow safeguarding procedures and promptly report incidents to senior staff. Immediate start and weekly pay are included.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, club or similar setting
• Calm, friendly and confident manner, with the ability to manage groups of pupils
• Reliable and punctual
• Basic safeguarding knowledge in a school setting
• Current first aid certificate is desirable
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground or school grounds during the lunch break
• Encouraging positive behaviour and following the school's behaviour policy
• Helping younger pupils with their lunch, including opening packaging and clearing away
• Keeping an eye out for allergies and dietary needs, following the school's procedures
• Reporting accidents, incidents and any concerns to the senior member of staff on duty
• Following the school's safeguarding, health and safety and first aid procedures
