Job summary

Wygate Park Academy in Nottingham is seeking a part-time Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee pupils during the 11.30am–1.00pm lunch period. You will work with midday staff to maintain a safe, friendly dining environment and help younger pupils with eating where needed.

The role involves supervising play areas, monitoring facilities, and providing basic first aid. Experience in a school environment is desirable, with a generous pension and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school environment preferred.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Monitor playgrounds, dining areas, corridors, and toilets as required.
• Deal with minor incidents and provide basic first aid in line with school procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate staff member.
• Work as part of a team of midday staff and communicate effectively with teaching staff.
• Support pupils in the dining hall, encouraging good manners and positive behaviour.
• Assist younger pupils with eating where necessary (e.g. opening containers, cutting food).
• Ensure the dining area remains clean, calm, and orderly.
