The David Ross Education Trust is recruiting for a lunchtime supervisor at one of its academies in the United Kingdom. The role involves supervising pupils in the dining hall, canteen, courtyard, and fields, ensuring safety and orderly behaviour during lunchtime and related supervision periods.

Permanent role - 5 hours per week - 39 weeks a year (term time). Salary aligns with NJC3 full-time and pro-rata components; benefits include pension, wellbeing, and flexible patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience with supervising pupils during school lunchtimes.
• Ability to manage and de-escalate behavioural issues.
• Willingness to promote safe, supportive environments for students.

Responsibilities

• Organise pupil entry to dining hall; provide positive and firm supervision.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe dining area during lunchtimes.
• Deal with first-aid incidents and illnesses; record and refer as needed.
• Ensure adequate provision of resources (play equipment, games) for lunchtime recreation.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote pupil welfare across the day.
