Job summary

Laurus Trust is seeking Midday Assistants to supervise pupils during lunch, in the dining hall and on the playground, fostering a safe and engaging environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure wellbeing and happiness during the lunchtime period.

The role is term-time only with a contract of 7.5 hours per week, offering a flexible arrangement to support our pupils and school community.

Qualifications

• Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
• Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and during playground activities.
• Support positive behaviour and engaging play activities to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to safeguard pupils' wellbeing, safety and happiness during lunchtime.
