Job summary

Rockmount Primary School is seeking a staff member to assist with school meals in line with government hygiene standards and to support lunchtime supervision in the hall and playground. The role includes helping with meal service, table clearing, and general hall duties while ensuring children are safe and well supervised.

The post requires awareness of child protection policies, Health and Safety, and adherence to all school procedures.

Responsibilities

• To provide school meals to children in line with government food hygiene standards.
• To support the lunchtime supervisors team in the dinner hall and playground, carrying out dinner hall operations such as setting and clearing up, replenishing and cleaning tables, and supervising children in the playground.
• To take responsibility, along with other staff, for Health and Safety, Accident Prevention and the smooth running of emergency procedures for children.
• To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.
• To carry out risk assessments, as appropriate, prior to commencing activities.
• To participate in training and performance management as required.
• To promote the aims and objectives of the school.
• To understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
