Job summary

Penygawsi Primary School is seeking two Temporary Supervisory Assistants to supervise pupils at lunchtimes, ensuring safety, order and good behaviour. The role involves assisting with dining queues, reporting incidents, and supporting staff in implementing the school’s policies.

Successful candidates will have a calm, patient approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and teamwork within a busy lunchtime setting.

Qualifications

• To supervise children during lunchtimes and ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Willingness to follow school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the dining queue and orderly movement of pupils.
• Assist with behaviour expectations and maintain a calm environment.
• Provide basic first aid if needed and report incidents appropriately.
• Support lunchtime routines and assist with pupil collection at start of break.
