Job summary

St Matthew's CE Primary School in Stretford seeks a kind and reliable Midday Assistant to supervise pupils at lunchtimes and playtimes. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment, support positive behaviour and inclusive play, and be mindful of safeguarding during the lunchtime period.

The role is part time (6.25 hours/week), term time only (38 weeks), with an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment. Appointment is subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks and references.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, happy and nurturing lunchtime environment for pupils.
• Supervise children during lunchtime and playtimes.
• Support positive behaviour and relationships; ensure pupils are safe and included during lunchtime.
• Contribute to safeguarding and safe recruitment practices as applicable.
