Job summary

Brough Primary School in Brough is seeking a reliable and engaged individual to join our lunchtime team, supervising pupils across the dining hall and playground to ensure safety and well-being. Training and support will be provided, and the successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team to encourage positive play and orderly conduct.

Qualifications

Patient, flexible, and able to meet pupils' individual needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
Proactive and able to use initiative.
Experience with children (school-based preferred but not essential).
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ welfare.

Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during lunch in the dining hall, playground areas and school premises, ensuring safety, welfare, and discipline.
Provide emotional support and well-being where needed.
Arrange and supervise appropriate play and physical activities under direction of the Senior Supervisor.
Ensure injuries or accidents are dealt with per the school’s reporting procedures.
Assist pupils with eating where appropriate depending on age and needs.
