Job summary

Pegasus Primary School is seeking a caring Lunchtime Supervisor to supervise dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe, positive lunchtime for our learners. The role is mainly based in the nursery, with potential support in other areas as needed.

You should be friendly, reliable, punctual and a team player. No prior experience is required, as training will be provided; an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding commitment are part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and patient manner.
• Can work well as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to learners’ wellbeing.
• Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervising learners in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during lunchtime.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and ensuring learners follow the school rules.
• Supporting young people to play safely, resolve minor disputes, and develop social skills.
• Assisting younger pupils with eating and clearing away meals.
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming lunchtime environment.
