Job summary

Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking two Mid-day Supervisory Assistants (MDSA) for St Andrew's CE Primary School in Hove to supervise lunchtimes between 11:45am and 1:15pm. You will join a friendly team of lunchtime staff and play leaders, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children from Reception to Year 6.

The role is Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of £27,274–£27,709. DBS checks and references are required prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm manner.
• Ability to supervise children from Reception to Year 6 during lunchtimes.
• Commitment to safeguarding and a positive, engaging lunchtime environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtimes in playground and canteen.
• Maintain firm and fair approach with primary-aged pupils.
• Work as part of a lunchtime staff team to engage and supervise pupils.
