Job summary

Summerlea Primary School, part of Schoolsworks Academy Trust and West Sussex County Council, is seeking a Midday Meals Supervisor to help supervise lunch times, promote positive play and support children's pastoral care.

This permanent, term-time role is 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 1pm, during 38 weeks plus 5.8 weeks annual leave; DBS check will be required, and training opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Positive, caring and well-motivated candidate.
• Able to promote positive play, teamwork and friendship.
• Willing to support children with pastoral care.
• Willing to undergo safeguarding checks and DBS process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at lunchtimes and promote positive play.
• Support children with pastoral care during lunch.
• Set out tables and pack away at the end of the lunch session.
• Ensure the hall is prepared for afternoon activities.
