Job summary

Gatton Primary School in London seeks a friendly Midday Meal Supervisor - First Aid Position to join our caring team. The role is 15 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks), and includes lunchtime supervision and basic first aid.

Starting 4 January 2027, you will support pupils, monitor meals, uphold hygiene and safety, and work with staff to ensure a welcoming lunchtime experience. Salary: £11,535.53 per annum.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or care setting.
• Strong verbal communication skills to supervise and guide children during mealtime and liaise with staff/parents.
• Ability to manage lunchtime routines efficiently, monitor mealtimes, and maintain cleanliness.
• Careful attention to dietary needs, food allergies, and hygiene standards.
• Caring attitude and patience when dealing with children of varying ages.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, kitchen staff, and other supervisors.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food safety and emergency procedures.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying needs or situations during busy times.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor to encourage positive behaviour and a pleasant lunchtime experience.
