Job summary

Gatton Primary School in London is seeking a Midday Meal Supervisor for a 15-hour weekly, term-time role. Start date 4 January 2027. You will supervise lunchtime for pupils, ensure safety and hygiene, and work with school and kitchen staff to provide a positive midday experience. DBS check is required and CVs are not accepted.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• Strong verbal communication to supervise and liaise with staff and parents.
• Ability to manage lunchtime routines and maintain cleanliness.
• Attention to dietary needs, allergies and hygiene standards.
• Patient, empathetic and capable of working with diverse age groups.
• Able to collaborate with school and kitchen staff; understands safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during mealtime and monitor mealtime routines.
• Ensure cleanliness and safe conduct in dining areas.
• Liaise with staff and parents as required and follow safety procedures.
• Be vigilant about dietary needs and food hygiene practices.
