Job summary

Little Thurrock Primary School is seeking a Midday Assistant for maternity cover to help supervise play, support dining hall activities and maintain a safe, welcoming lunchtime environment.

The role is 8 hours 20 minutes per week, term-time only. Applicants should have good English and Maths and be willing to undertake First Aid training. The school offers a supportive network, CPD opportunities and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Good English and Maths (Grade 4–9 or equivalent).
• Interact with children and lead outdoor activities.
• Willingness to undertake training, including First Aid.
• Provide care and supervision during lunch and playground times.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children to encourage social skills and lead outdoor activities.
• Prepare tables, supervise outdoor play, clear up games/toys, administer first aid.
• Ensure safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell; provide comfort.
• Assist children with Personal Care where necessary.
