Job summary

Park Lane Primary School in Tilehurst (Reading) invites three Lunchtime Controllers to join a warm team and help supervise children during lunch across the Infants and Juniors site, ensuring a secure and happy lunchtime environment.

The roles are part-time, term-time only, 6.25 hours per week, covering 11:45–1:40pm, Monday–Friday (hours to be confirmed). Salary is £3,657–£3,666 per year, with enhanced DBS checks and a closing date of 8 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunch and playtime.
• Ability to follow the School’s Behaviour Policy.
• Understanding of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children inside and outside during lunchtimes.
• Oversee dining room assistance and promote healthy eating.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment across the Infants and Juniors site.
