Job summary

Park Lane Primary School in Tilehurst is seeking three Lunchtime Controllers to join our friendly team. You will supervise children inside the dining areas, in the playground, and around the Infants and Juniors sites to ensure a secure and happy lunchtime.

The role is term-time only, 6.25 hours per week across 11.45am to 1.40pm, with hours to be confirmed. We value energy, patience, teamwork, good communication and a sense of humour, plus safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Energy, enthusiasm and patience to supervise children at lunchtime.
• Team player with flexibility to work with a supportive staff group.
• Clear communication with staff and pupils during lunchtimes.
• Humour and patience to help maintain a calm lunchtime environment.
• Understanding of safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the clearing up of games and toys (inside and outside).
• Using the school's Behaviour Policy to manage pupil behaviour.
• Assisting children in the dining room and encouraging healthy eating.
