Job summary

Bottesford Church of England Primary School, within Learn Academies Trust, is seeking a Part-time Lunchtime Supervisor for 5 hours per day, 38 weeks per year. The role runs 12:00–1:00pm, Monday to Friday, during school lunch periods.

The successful candidate will ensure the health and safety of children during lunch and contribute to a safe, orderly environment. Experience with children is valued; applicants should be organised, reliable, and able to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children is preferred.
• Good communication and organisational skills are required.
• Patient, engaging and creative approach to activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in the lunch eating area.
• Assist with clearing away and tidying the eating area.
• Supervise pupils after lunch, indoors or outdoors, ensuring health and safety.
• Maintain good behaviour and safe conduct, handling incidents per policy.
• Attend to accidents in the playground following school procedures.
• Adhere to Safeguarding/Child Protection policies at all times.

£2,894 (Annual Actual)

Working pattern: 12.00-1.00pm Monday to Friday

A Lunchtime Supervisor will responsibility for the health and safety and security of children during the School lunch break.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Organised and reliable.
• Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks.
• Has experience of working with children.
• Is patient, engaging, caring and creative.
• Is able to work in a team.
• Is be self-motivated.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• 1. Supervise pupils in the area in which they eat their lunch.

  2. Assist and supervise the clearing away and tidying of the eating area.

  3. Supervise pupils after lunch, either inside or outside of the school building, being especially vigilant as to the health, safety and security of the pupils within their care, and in accordance with the School Behaviour Policy.

  4. Ensure reasonable behaviour and safe conduct of pupils by maintaining good order and discipline, dealing as appropriate (including restraint) with all incidents of disorder ensuring that any disruption is minimised.

  5. Attend to accidents in the playground in accordance with the School procedure and guidelines on accidents and their treatment.

  6. To adhere to our Safeguarding/Child Protection policies at all times.
