Job summary

Kingfisher Primary Academy is seeking a caring Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during lunchtime periods in a calm, safe environment. You will help with supervision in the dining hall and playground, assist with meals and first aid when needed, and promote positive behaviours at all times.

The role is 10 hours per week, term-time only, with a permanent contract. Applicants must be reliable, patient and able to work as part of a team within a safeguarding-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining areas, playgrounds, and other school spaces during lunchtime.
• Ensure pupils move safely and behave appropriately when entering, queuing, and dining.
• Support pupils during mealtimes, including assisting with food, drinks, and minor spillages.
• Set up, clear, and maintain a clean and organised dining environment.
• Supervise and encourage safe, positive play and social interaction outdoors.
• Patrol school areas and escort pupils where required to ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents appropriately, including administering basic first aid if required.
• Ensure school safeguarding and security procedures are followed at all times.

The Role

The successful candidate will supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour both in the dining hall and playground.
