Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking Lunchtime Supervisors to support pupils during lunch breaks at schools in Birmingham and Wolverhampton. You will help create a safe environment, supervise indoors and outdoors, and assist with 1:1 activities.

This part-time role suits those seeking school-hour work. You will report to school staff, ensure safe dining areas, and support pupils with additional needs while following safeguarding guidelines. Term-time pattern with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience as lunchtime supervisor or with children.
• Good communication and observation skills.
• Enhanced DBS check within 12 months or on update service.
• Safeguarding training supported by Blue Arrow.
• Reliable and punctual with regular commitment.
• Available Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch indoors and outdoors.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils as needed.
• Assist with issues, concerns, or minor disputes.
• Report accidents, safeguarding concerns, or behavior issues.
• Keep dining areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Support pupils with additional needs for a positive lunchtime.

Job description

Lunchtime Supervisors REQUIRED:

We are seeking reliable, and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to support pupils during their lunch break and help create a safe environment.

LOCATIONS:

Birmingham and Wolverhampton

KEY RESPONSIBLE:

• Supervising pupils during lunch breaks, both indoors and outdoors.

• Providing 1:1 support to individual pupils where required, helping them access lunchtime activities safely.

• Assisting pupils with any issues, concerns, or minor disagreements that arise during lunchtime.

• Reporting accidents, incidents, safeguarding concerns, or behavioural issues to the appropriate staff members.

• Ensuring the cafeteria/canteen and dining areas remain clean, safe, and tidy.

• Supporting pupils with additional needs to ensure they have a positive lunchtime experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience working as a lunchtime supervisor or with children

• Good communication and observation skills

• Hold an enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months or on the update service

• Safeguarding and Benedicts Law training, Blue Arrow can support with training

• Excellent reliability and punctuality

• Must be able to commit to Monday to Friday

HOURS:

Monday to Friday 11.30am-1/1.30pm
