Responsabilidades

• Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs during the lunchtime period.
• Support smooth transitions between the classroom, dining hall and playground.
• Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities while respecting the child's communication style.
• Help create a calm, structured environment that promotes wellbeing and reduces anxiety during lunchtime.
• Support the pupil with lunchtime routines, including eating lunch and managing personal belongings.
• Recognise signs of distress, sensory overload or anxiety and respond appropriately.
• Encourage positive behaviour through reassurance and reinforcement.
• Work with teachers and SEND team to ensure a consistent approach.
• Follow individual support plans and school procedures to maintain safety, dignity and inclusion.
• Help maintain a safe, positive lunchtime environment for all pupils.
