Job summary

St Piers is seeking a caring Lunchtime Support Worker to join our college team in Lingfield. The role supports students with SEN during lunch, helping with eating, social interaction and lunchtime routines within a safe, inclusive environment.

You will work with young people with a range of needs, including learning disabilities and autism, supporting them with daily lunchtime activities. Training is provided; DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Patience, kindness and confidence when working with young people with SEN.
• Good communication with students and staff.
• Reliable and punctual; training provided for SEN duties.

Responsibilities

• Support students during lunchtime to assist eating and drinking.
• Assist with moving safely between areas.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Support individual needs per care plans.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff.
