Job summary

St Piers (part of Young Epilepsy) is seeking a caring Lunchtime Support Worker to assist college students during lunch breaks. The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive environment and supporting eating, social interaction and routines for pupils with SEN.

You will join a team dedicated to the welfare and development of learners, with training provided and opportunities for progression within St Piers College.

Qualifications

• Patient, kind and confident working with young people with SEN.
• Flexible approach to work and hours.
• Effective communication with students and staff.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Experience with SEN is desirable and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support students during lunch, including encouragement with eating and drinking.
• Assist students with moving safely between areas.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
• Support individual needs in line with care and support plans.
• Ensure students’ safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
