Job summary

St Piers College, part of Young Epilepsy, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with a tutor to deliver the curriculum and maximise learning opportunities for students with SEND. This is a term-time, permanent role based at Lingfield, offering a 37-hour week across 39 weeks per year.

The post requires caring, proactive support, collaboration with staff, and the ability to lead small learning activities. Salary reflects SCP 5b to 6 Senior LSA with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience promoting learning and recording learner progress.
• Willingness to work toward Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Ability to support a diverse learner group.

Responsibilities

• Assist Tutor/Teacher in delivering curriculum.
• Implement strategies to maximise learning outcomes.
• Create a caring, safe and inspiring learning environment.
• Prepare and maintain an organised classroom per teacher's guidance.
