Job summary

Burbage Primary School, part of Embark Federation, is seeking a friendly Midday Supervisor/Play Worker to ensure lunchtime safety and happiness for pupils. You’ll supervise play, support dining, and provide a listening ear during the 11:50am–1:15pm slot.

Joining our OPAL approach, you’ll help create an inclusive outdoor play environment, model positive behaviour, manage queues, and encourage child-led play with risk-aware supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience with children (e.g. school, clubs, care) is desirable.
• Basic First Aid training is desirable but not essential—training can be provided.
• Term-time, part-time role with lunchtime supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils inside and outside during lunch breaks
• Support and model safe and positive play and social interaction
• Help manage queues and dining areas calmly and fairly
• Respond to minor incidents and know when to seek help
• Promote our values and inclusive culture at all times
