Job summary

Belleville Primary School is seeking a Midday Assistant to join our friendly lunchtime team. The role supports pupils during lunch, encouraging positive play and safe routines across our two sites in Webb's Road SW11 6PR and Meteor Street SW11 5NZ.

The post is part time, 7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, with term-time holidays. DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required; first aid qualification is welcomed but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with groups of children is desirable.
• First aid qualification welcomed but not essential.
• We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and encourage positive play.
• Initiate age-appropriate games and activities in the playground.
• Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing and manage group behaviour.
• Work as part of the lunchtime team and communicate with leadership.
