Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is recruiting for a Catering Assistant at Cwmllynfell Primary School. The role is a temporary, term-time position (6.25 hours/week), Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 12.45pm.

You will help run the lunchtime service, keep the kitchen hygienic and perform related duties, with training provided in basic food hygiene. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required for this post.
• Training in basic food hygiene will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth running of the lunchtime service and maintain hygienic kitchen conditions.
• Undertake associated kitchen duties such as washing up and setting up/clearing away equipment and tables.
• Assist in the preparation of high quality and varied meals for young people.
