Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking Relief General Kitchen Assistant at Plasnewydd Primary School to support term-time meals across our schools. You will assist in preparation, presentation and service of meals, help keep dining areas clean and safe, and may cover across multiple sites as needed.

Training on site will be provided, and a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate is required, with DBS clearance considered essential.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Ability to work in a school dining environment and maintain hygiene.
• DBS check may be required for this post.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
• Set up dining areas and assist with service to pupils and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and operate a touch screen terminal where required.
