Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council in Cross Hands is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support a busy school kitchen. You will assist the Cook with nutritious meals, uphold Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards, and help with setting up, serving, and cleaning.

The post is 15 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks), with an annualised pay scheme. DBS check is required; Welsh language level 2 is desirable, and duties may include flexible catering tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food safety; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in preparing nutritious meals while following Food Hygiene and Health and Safety rules.
• Set up and clear away tables and perform general cleaning duties.
• Support other catering tasks as required and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and service area.
