Job summary

ISS UK Limited in England is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the school dining service. You will help prepare and serve healthy meals, maintain cleanliness and food safety, and deliver friendly, professional service to students and staff.

This term-time role features a permanent contract with annualised pay and a specific pattern: Monday to Friday, 11:30 to 13:30, and an hourly rate of £12.71. DBS check will be arranged by ISS during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and food safety.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report health and safety concerns, accidents or equipment faults.
• Provide friendly and professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
