ISS UK Limited is seeking a Catering Assistant for a 6‑month fixed term contract to support meal preparation and service in a school environment. The role operates term‑time with a taught lunch period and a fixed daily schedule of 11:00–13:30, Monday to Friday.

DBS checks are required as part of onboarding. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, assist with safe food handling, and deliver a friendly service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• DBS check required for working in a school environment.
• Previous catering/food service experience desirable.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
• Positive, reliable, team‑focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Support the preparation, presentation and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report health and safety concerns, accidents or equipment faults.
• Provide friendly and professional service to students, staff and visitors.
• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
