Job summary

ISS UK Limited is hiring a Catering Assistant in Chichester for term-time only, Monday to Friday 11:30–13:30, permanent contract, paid monthly at £12.71 per hour.

You will help prepare, present and serve meals, set up dining areas, maintain food safety and allergen compliance, and operate tills where needed.

Enhanced DBS checks are required; ISS provides onboarding support and opportunities to learn and grow within a globally valued facilities management company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, food service, hospitality, or customer-facing role desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding, food safety, and delivering excellent service.
• Ability to follow procedures, and instructions accurately.
• Positive, reliable, and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary, and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store, and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report any health and safety concerns, accidents, or equipment faults.
• Provide a friendly and professional service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
