Job summary

ISS Facilities Services in Midhurst is seeking Part-time Catering Assistants to join a supportive school catering team. The role involves preparing, serving and presenting meals, setting up dining areas, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety for students and staff.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 11:30 to 13:30, at £12.71 per hour, on a term-time-only contract with annualised pay and monthly salary. An Enhanced DBS check is required and arranged by ISS.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding, food safety, and delivering excellent service.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
• Positive, reliable, and team-focused approach.
• Previous experience in a catering, food service, hospitality, or customer-facing role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas as required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Follow allergen, dietary, and special meal requirements.
• Receive, store, and handle food deliveries correctly.
• Operate tills where required.
• Report any health and safety concerns, accidents, or equipment faults.
• Provide a friendly and professional service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
