Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an LSA SEN Teaching Assistant in South Essex to join a supportive school. The role involves classroom, 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs, including administering medication after training. Permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week during term time plus one additional week.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, experience with SEN, and a proactive, collaborative approach to professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN/ disabilities desirable.
• Willingness to undertake training to administer medication.
• Good communication with students, parents, staff and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs.
• Administer individual students' medication following training and school policy.
• Support inclusive teaching and assist in managing behaviour to create a positive learning environment.
