Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD is seeking an LSA and Behaviour Mentor for an independent secondary school in Enfield. The role supports students aged 11-19 with SEMH in a small, therapeutic environment.

You will provide individualised support, work with teachers and therapies, implement behaviour strategies, and help students build social skills and resilience to overcome barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH needs is advantageous.
• Strong behaviour management and a calm, patient, empathetic approach.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students.

We are recruiting a dedicated LSA and Behaviour Mentor to join an independent secondary school for students aged 11 to 19 who will thrive in a small, therapeutic, and nurturing environment. This specialist setting supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a tailored and highly supportive approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively in lessons and daily routines.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to maintain a calm, structured, and safe learning environment.
• Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies in line with student support plans.
• Encourage the development of social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence.
• Support students in overcoming barriers to learning through consistent, empathetic guidance.
