Job summary

A headteacher-led opportunity at Headley Park Primary School within Amplify Education invites a Learning Support Assistant to join from 19th October 2026 to 31st August 2027. You will work within a class team, provide 1:1 pupil support, and assist with interventions, ensuring well-being and access to learning.

You will follow planning from the lead teacher and may support across age groups beyond nursery.

Qualifications

  • Implied classroom support and engagement skills.
  • Level 2 qualification or above required.
  • Ability to support pupils with SEND and work within a class team.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious LSA to join our dedicated team from 19th October 2026 (or earlier) until 31st August 2027 to generally work within a class team and with pupils on a 1:1 basis. If you join us, a typical week in this role may see you supporting teaching, leading on interventions and supervising a pupil with SEND in a safe and inclusive manner, ensuring their well-being and access to learning, monitoring and assessing pupils in both the indoor and outdoor areas. You will support the teacher to deliver high quality learning and interventions, using the planning provided by the lead teacher for those classes. This position will primarily be based in nursery, ages 3-4, but you may be required to support in other age groups.

About You

You are likely to have gained excellent teaching skills and experience in engaging pupils and working collaboratively with colleagues through your career or personal experience. You will be able to bring to us professionalism and enthusiasm. You will have an appropriate Level 2 qualification or above.
