Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs and challenging behaviour in CF23, Cardiff. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help access learning, and support communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.

DBS Update Service required or willingness to obtain; term-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday; £93–£100 per day. Be ready to work closely with the class teacher and support team to create a calm, structured

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA, CCLD or Health & Social Care qualification, or relevant Childhood/Education degree.
• DBS certificate registered on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the UK; Be 18 or over.

Job description

This role would suit someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and is confident supporting children with additional learning needs, challenging behaviour and 1:1 support. What you'll be doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support

• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Working alongside the class teacher and wider support team
• Helping create a calm, structured and positive classroom environment
• Supply Hive Wales are working with a welcoming primary school in CF23 who are looking for a confident and experienced TA to join their LRB team., A relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching & Learning, CCLD or Health & Social Care qualification, HLTA qualification, or relevant Childhood/Education degree
• Previous experience supporting children with ALN, challenging behaviour or in a 1:1 setting
• A patient, consistent and nurturing approach
• Confidence working as part of a team

Other Requirements:

• DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (Or willingness to obtain)
